Privacy Policy

Plain statement of what Relay stores and does not store.

What Relay stores

  • Your Discord user ID (discord_id).
  • Your Torn ID and Torn username (torn_id, torn_username).
  • Your Torn API key, encrypted at rest - never stored or shown in plaintext.
  • Your Relay wallet balance and transaction history (deposits, purchases, payouts, cashouts, refunds, admin adjustments).
  • Contract and claim records you are party to (as buyer or seller).
  • Optional preferences from other packages you opt into (e.g. notification settings).

What Relay does not store

  • No real-world personal data: no name, address, email, phone number, government ID, or payment information of any kind.
  • No Torn data beyond what a Limited API key exposes (attacks, basic profile) - Relay never requests or stores your Torn money, items, or private messages.
  • No browsing history, IP addresses, or device fingerprints beyond whatever Discord itself provides to any bot by default.

Who can see your data

  • Server admins can look up your linked account, balance, and contract history via admin tooling (/admin lookup), strictly for operating the marketplace (approvals, disputes, payouts).
  • Your decrypted API key is never visible to admins or shown in any UI - it exists in decrypted form only in memory, for the duration of a single Torn API call.

Data retention and deletion

  • Running /unlink removes your account link. Depending on server configuration this either deletes your User row and related records, or retains a minimal transaction ledger for accounting purposes with your Discord/Torn identifiers dropped - check with your server's admins for their exact retention choice.
  • Orphaned records (old, unlinked, unresolved data) are periodically cleaned up retention settings.

Third parties

  • Relay talks to api.torn.com on your behalf, using your linked key, solely to verify attacks. Torn's own privacy policy governs data you submit directly to Torn.
  • Relay does not sell, share, or otherwise transmit your data to any other third party.
